The moon was rising as she reached the sea. When she had started her journey that morning, she hand’t anticipated how far her legs would carry her— she didn’t realize they could take her to the end of the earth without her noticing.
"What now?" she asked herself aloud.
The water lapped sweetly at the rocks beneath her strong, brave feet as she closed her eyes. The sticky salted wind kissed her lashes, and all the tension she had been hiding in her eyes and throat released itself. In this place she could let it.
A long, beautiful note like that from a cello vibrated in the air around her. She opened her eyes to look for its source. The water was flat and black and barren; only the reflection of the moon danced on its surface. Again the haunting cry shook the air and her bones with its beauty.
The surface of the water began to break.
Oh my god my amazing writer friend Hannah did this FROM MY ART CAN YOU BELIEVE IT
Inspired by Marcel @ Autodesk! He’s putting together this sweet line of vehicles and one of them was a polar exploration transport. I wanted to make a polar monster for it to avoid. I actually sketched the first Orcabear back at Ex’pression College in our Concept Art class.
The sunset was so pretty I decided to snap some photos. I also worked all day in the How To Draw book, but I’m struggling with understanding how to duplicate offset tilted planes in perspective. I think I just need to move on …
For my holiday break, I’m pouring over Scott Robertson’s How To Draw, armed with a borrowed Wacom Cintiq Companion from my friends up north. (thanks Joe!) It’s making my head hurt, I won’t lie, but in that way where you can FEEL THE LEARNING.
My dog decided she wanted to be in a photo. Please enjoy my dog.
As a reward for hitting over 1 million views in 1 day, the Instructables crew hired the “Bass Tub” to take us out to the Farallon islands. These photos don’t convey how wet, cold, and miserable it was. But it sure was tons of fun. This is how I ended up after losing my lunch.
